How the Wish Process Works
From referral to the wish day, we work closely with medical teams and families to create a safe, magical experience.
Who is Eligible
A child who has reached the age of 3 and is under the age of 18 at the time of referral who has a critical illness is potentially eligible for a wish.
- Age: 3 to 18 years old
- Medical Condition: Critical illness (progressive, degenerative, or malignant)
- Approval: Treating physician must certify eligibility
- Prior Wish: Must not have received a wish from another wish-granting organization

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the family have to pay for the wish?
No. All wish expenses are fully covered, including travel and spending money.
Are wishes only for terminally ill children?
No. Many wish children go on to lead long, healthy lives. We serve children with critical illnesses.
Can I refer a child I know?
Yes. Parents, legal guardians, family members, and medical professionals can refer a child.
